Needless to say, the next few months is going to be incredibly busy! Starting this weekend, I have 6 big trips planned in the next three months. Short story is:

Ski and birthday weekend in Mont Tremblant, Quebec
Four days of diving in Grand Cayman, getting SCUBA certified
Then, a few days later, off to Oahu, Hawaii for a welcome home
After that, I’ll actually stay put a few days before it’s off to Nepal, Bhutan, Seychelles, Sudan, and Bulgaria
Work a few days, then off to Ottawa, Ontario to run the Ottawa marathon
…and from there, I fly straight to Longyearbyen, Norway, at 78 degrees north latitude, for the Spitsbergen Marathon 6 days later!

Whew…I’m tired just writing that!

It is going to be an amazing few months of travel.  Only five new countries (and one more if you count Grand Cayman as the Travelers Century Club does) but lots of amazing new experiences.  They say over 70% of the Earth’s surface is water, so I plan to do lots more exploring of that several feet under the surface over the next few months!  Not to mention, I’m going to get to spend several of these trips with amazing friends and see lots of cool things.

I’m especially looking forward to Bhutan.  I’d always been told it’s one of the most remote and inaccessible places on the planet – so I look forward to seeing it in person!

After that – it’ll be downtime for a few months…and recovery of the leave bank!  While I plan the next extended amazing adventure – most likely over New Years.  Between June and then, look for several long extended-weekend type trips!

  1. Wow! That is such a crazy flight schedule! Which loyalty program do you use to rack up points for these longer jaunts? I am an Aeroplan Member myself (live in Toronto), so I try to stick with Star Alliance as much as I can where possible.

    • Star Alliance credits to United, One World to American, and SkyTeam to Delta…I do enough travel the last few years to earn top status on all three.
